Licentia helps to bridge the gap between fundamental research and commercial application. We do this by undertaking the patenting process and, where appropriate, arranging funding for further applied development of the invention to bring it to a stage where it is attractive to later stage investors, such as venture capital firms, industry and partnerships.

Licenses are individually negotiated with the prospective licensee. Licenses may be exclusive, partially exclusive or nonexclusive. They may be for all or selected fields of use of the technology and may be either for all or limited to specific geographic areas.

Licenses contain terms and conditions for the protection of the interests of the inventor and/or IP right holder.
